The gross minimum wage in Romania is the minimum amount that an employer is required to pay an employee for a month of full-time work.
According to current legislation, starting with January 2025, the gross minimum wage in Romania will be set at 4050 lei/month. This amount represents a gross income, before the application of taxes and mandatory social contributions, which include the social security contribution (CAS), the health contribution (CASS) and the income tax. After deducting these taxes, the net minimum wage, i.e. the amount actually received by the employee, will be lower.
